FKIP ULM Holds Public Lecture “Publication Strategies for Prospective Teachers”
Banjarmasin – The English Language Education Study Program FKIP Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Public Lecture “Publications for Prospective Teachers: Strategies and Best Practices” on Tuesday (22/8/2023) at the Lecture Theater, General Building ULM Banjarmasin. This event was held in order to encourage students who are also prospective teachers to provide the knowledge and skills needed to create successful published works.
Dean of FKIP Prof. Dr. Sunarno Basuki, Drs., M. Kes. AIFO gave a direct speech to the public lecture participants. In his speech, he conveyed how important research and publications are in shaping the future of education. The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Puteri Elyani, M.Pd., emphasized the significance of effective publication strategies in the teaching profession.
General lecture material presented by Prof. Slamet Setiawan, MA, Ph.D., Professor in Linguistics, Surabaya State University. He explained the complexity of research publications in a straightforward and clear manner. Among the topics he discussed were techniques for identifying research topics, methods for understanding various publication formats, as well as practical tips for compiling theses and articles for academic journals. Through his presentation, it is hoped that he can build students’ confidence as prospective teachers in exploring the academic publication landscape.
This event was attended by students of the English Language Education Study Program. All participants seemed enthusiastic and actively involved in discussions with the speaker. Through holding this event, it is hoped that it can increase and improve students’ learning experiences and basic knowledge in the English Language Education program. Through this event, FKIP Lambung Mangkurat University seeks to demonstrate its commitment to encouraging increased academic excellence and the practical skills needed by prospective educators to continue to excel in their profession.

- Quote Appropriately. Give proper attribution to sources and use a consistent citation style to maintain academic integrity.
