Coordination of Budget Optimization of Lambung Mangkurat University for 2023

Banjarmasin – Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri., S.E., M.Sc directly chaired the 2023 Budget Optimization Coordination Meeting on Monday (31/07/2023) and took place in the Senate Meeting Room, Floor 3. This agenda was attended by Vice Rector, Deans, Bureau Heads and Coordinators in the ULM environment.

The agenda for the coordination meeting this time relates to discussing and optimizing the 2023 Lambung Mangkurat University budget which has been carried out by an evaluation process and the plan will be carried out routinely in order to optimize the utilization of the budget managed by ULM. This is considered important to do because it is related to central government policies because it greatly determines the ability to absorb the budget in related agencies.

This coordination was also carried out in connection with the position of ULM which was still below average according to calculations by the Center. Currently ULM is in the bottom 14th position and in the red zone, which means that budget optimization is not optimal. So it is hoped that with an evaluation of all these tertiary institutions, to evaluate the absorption of the 2023 budget together, considering that this is already entering the middle of 2023.

The Rector in his remarks said that, in relation to budget management, everything is based on the main performance indicators from the ministry, which means that ULM must make policies that can have an impact on increasing the KPI. In fact, there will be awards for tertiary institutions based on the excellence of the respective tertiary institutions based on IKU 1-8. “The budget allocation must be directed to support KPI achievement and there will be an award for the highest IKU growth in the future,” said the Rector.
