ULM Receives Dozens of Bicycles, Forms Support for PMM 2023 Participant Mobilization Facility.
Banjarmasin – University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) held a welcoming event for students participating in the inbound Freedom Student Exchange (PMM) on Monday (21/8/2023) at the General Building of ULM Banjarmasin. This year, ULM received 128 students from 69 public and private universities throughout Indonesia to carry out lectures at ULM in the 2023 PMM program.
The Baksa Kembang dance was a treat in welcoming the inbound students who would later be divided to attend lectures at the ULM Banjarmasin and ULM Banjarbaru campuses. The ULM PMM Coordinator, Diani Ayu Pratiwi, M.Pd., reported that the trend of PMM at ULM this year has increased compared to the previous year. As many as 128 inbound students who passed to ULM had previously competed from a total of 3,635 students from 389 tertiary institutions who applied to conduct student exchanges to ULM.
“The ULM PMM team always tries to improve services and maximize facilities that can be coordinated with all leaders in the university environment,” said Diani. In addition, this year ULM also received mobilization facility support from sponsors in the form of bicycles. “Until today, we have received as many as 30 bicycles as a form of support from our sponsorship,” said Diani in her report.
It is noted that until now ULM has received 10 bicycles from BSI (Bank Syariah Indonesia), 6 from BTN (State Savings Bank), 10 from BNI (Bank Negara Indonesia), and 5 from PT. BandanganTirta Agung. This number will increase over time by other ULM sponsorships such as BRI, Bank Mandiri, BPD Kalsel, and Bank Indonesia. These bicycles will later be distributed to PMM inbound students at the ULM Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru campuses.
