Press Release: 3 ULM Faculty of Medicine Study Programs Achieve Superior Accreditation
Banjarmasin – The long wait for the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Banjarmasin in a period of 33 years has finally been achieved. The ULM Banjarmasin Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. dr. Iwan Aflanie, M. Kes, Sp.F, SH, his party on Monday (5/6/2023) afternoon, just received a letter of determination of Accreditation with Excellent Rating for three Study Programs (Prodi), namely Bachelor of Medicine Study Program, Doctor Professional Education and Pharmacist Profession Study Program.
The two stipulation letters for the Undergraduate Medical Study Program, Doctor Professional Education Study Program were issued on May 26, 2023 by the Management of the Association of Indonesian Health Higher Education Independent Accreditation Institutions (LAM-PTKes Association). In the letter Number: 0356/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Sar/V/2023, stipulates the ULM Banjarmasin Bachelor of Medicine Study Program with the title of Superior Accreditation, with a value of 369. Meanwhile, letter Number: 0357/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Pro/V/ 2023, determines the ULM Banjarmasin Medical Professional Education Study Program with the title of Superior Accreditation, score 366. And for the Pharmacist Professional Study Program based on letter number: 0303/LAM-PTKes/Akr/Pro/IV/2023
“After waiting 33 years finally the ULM Faculty of Medicine has been accredited Superior. We just received it,” he said, who also served as Dean of FK ULM for the 2020-2024 period, Tuesday (6/6/2023). According to him, the success of FK ULM Banjarmasin in achieving Superior Accreditation is a very happy gift. “This is not only for Study Programs and the Faculty of Medicine, but also for the entire ULM Academic Community,” he said. With the achievement of Superior Accreditation, according to him, this will further strengthen the position of ULM Faculty of Medicine as one of the superior and competitive Medical Faculties in Indonesia. “It can be said that not many Medical Faculties have succeeded in achieving this Superior Accreditation,” he explained.
