The Rector Inaugurates 93 Engineering Professional Education Students Batch X
Banjarmasin – The Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) inaugurated 93 Engineering Professional Education Students Batch X in the 1st Floor Hall of the ULM Rectorate Building on Tuesday (02/05/2023). This event was attended by Vice Rector II of ULM Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Sc., IPU, Vice Rector III Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, Vice Rector IV Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc, and Secretary General of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII).
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., in his remarks congratulated all the participants in the Engineer Professional Education which will be inaugurated today. As is well known, the legislation says that someone who does not go through the engineering professional education process and then carries out engineering practice violates the law, therefore holding the event today is one of the ways to carry out the mandate based on statutory orders.
The Rector also stated that ULM had executed an MoU with the University of Borneo Tarakan a few months ago in the framework of coaching the Professional Engineer Education. This proves that ULM is very concerned about the sustainability of national development by producing an explosive and competent young generation. “ULM has contributed significantly productively to fill the national development process by instructing engineers.” said the Rector. In addition, the high opportunities for young engineers to build a career in the world of work will make their path even easier if they have gone through the inauguration process today.
TheRector also hopes that the alumni will remember their obligation to make a real contribution to the progress of ULM. Among them being a development network for ULM, attracting ULM alumni to be able to join senior organizations that previously belonged to. So that it can be considered in increasing the accreditation of the study program itself.
