87 Young Engineers Confirmed by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
Banjarbaru – Inauguration of the graduation of Class XI Engineer Professional Study Program students in Hall 1, 3rd floor, Faculty of Engineering, Banjarbaru on Monday (28/08/2023). The ULM Rector in this case was represented by the Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Sc., IPU was invited to attend and opened the event. Also present at the event was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Iphan Fitrian Radam, ST., MT., IPU., Director of Central PII Ir. Wahyu, who represents the General Chairperson of PII, Dr. Ir. Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, M.Eng. Sc., IPU who was unable to attend, Professor and chairman of the senate of the ULM Faculty of Engineering, Secretary of the Professional Engineer Education study program, General Chair of PII who was represented by the director of Central PII Ir Wahyu, and graduates of the ULM professional engineering education department.
A total of 87 young engineers were inaugurated at this inauguration event. This is based on the Decree of the ULM Rector Number 715/UN8/SP/2023 concerning the Ratification of Professional Engineer Education Graduates Batch X and XI, Faculty of Engineering, ULM. This is an extraordinary achievement for ULM where the Professional Engineering Education study program regularly produces young engineers and at the same time will make a contribution to our beloved country.
In his speech, the Vice Rector hoped that the Professional Engineering Education study program could be optimized in all areas of expertise related to engineering, whether related to pure engineering or other aspects. The presence of Central PII administrator Ir. Wahyu is also a special appreciation for ULM where the Vice Chancellor hopes that PII can make regulations related to the engineering profession so that they will be more visible to a wider audience. Like other professions, such as pharmacists, which are protected by regulations so that their members can be optimized and empowered in their field. “We hope that the potential for future engineers can be like that.” he said.
Ir. Wahyu, who had the opportunity to represent the General Chair of PII Central in this event, also did not forget to give his speech. Through him, he is also the General Chair of the central PII, Dr. Ir. Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, M.Eng. Sc., IPU conveyed its enthusiasm to the ULMu7 Engineer Professional Education Study Program to continue working hard, innovating and making efforts to continue to produce and produce talented engineers whose quality is getting better day by day.
