BEM ULM Holds Training on Making Flower Bouquets to Encourage Student Entrepreneurial Spirits

BANJARMASIN – Some of students at the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) took part in a training on making fresh flower buckets at their campus in the Kayutangi area, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan. The training was based on a series of work programs from the ULM Student Executive Board (BEM), the making of fresh flower bouquets took place in one FKIP lecture room, Friday (21/7/2023). According to Mutia Septina, Admin of Poppy Florist, the training aims to empower students to be more independent and confident in starting a business. “So, participants can open their own business,” she explained.

The training provided was divided into three sessions. First, given an understanding regarding the formation of flower buckets, selection of fresh flowers, marketing and others. Second and third, practice making fresh flower buckets. In addition, the thing that underlies the training is to fill in the BEM work program. “We are also committed to providing companions for students who want to open a business,” he hoped. Mutia added, this training was in accordance with the sales shop, which was more dominated by fresh flowers. The goal is none other than to give a great impression to the recipient, with a fragrant and fresh scent.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Creative Economy Division of BEM ULM, Muhammad Badaruddin, revealed that students are not only struggling in the academic field, but also adding skills. “At the same time, the BEM work program is not just a demonstration forum, but also various useful activities or training,” she explained. He also hopes that the existing training will be of benefit to his friends in entrepreneurship.
