110 ULM Students Receive Scholarships from Deputy Chief of Police.

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) welcomed the arrival of the Deputy Chief of the Republic of Indonesia Police (Wakapolri) Komjen Agus Andrianto on Monday (2/10/2023) at the ULM Banjarmasin General Building. On this occasion, Komjen Agus Andrianto handed over a scholarship from the National Police accompanied by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., and South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian Djajadi.

The scholarship was given by the Deputy Chief of Police to 110 ULM students from various faculties. The scholarship was handed over to 11 students and students as representatives from each faculty at ULM.

ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., in his speech said that the award of this scholarship was an honor and appreciation for ULM. Of course, this cannot be separated from the various achievements that ULM has achieved so far. “ULM has so far trained students from all provinces in Indonesia, some even from abroad such as the Philippines and Thailand,” said the Chancellor. The achievements achieved are also said to be inseparable from the ongoing development of student interests and talents, as well as the implementation of the independent campus program within ULM.

Deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner General Agus Andrianto, on this occasion expressed his appreciation to ULM for being included in the top four best universities in Indonesia. Komjen Agus also said that the activity carried out today was an initiation from the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Andir Rian Djajadi. “Based on the information I have received, there are at least 700 students who have not received the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP),” said Komjen Agus.

It is known that 110 students who received scholarships from the National Police were students who had not yet received a Smart Indonesia Card (KIP). He hopes that the provision of these scholarships can help the government to improve the quality of human resources. “To get to a Golden Indonesia 2045. It really depends on the quality of human resources who will later run or move the wheels of the economy in Indonesia,” he said.
