PT Jasa Raharja Together with Trio Motor and Banjarmasin Police Hold a Safety Riding Seminar, Convey Understanding of Driving Safety
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) had the arrival of PT Jasa Raharja South Kalimantan together with PT Trio Motor and the Banjarmasin Police Traffic Unit on Wednesday (27/9/2023). This visit was in order to hold a Safety Riding Seminar at the Lecture Theater of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Lambung Mangkurat University, Banjarmasin. This event was attended by hundreds of ULM students from various departments and faculties as well as the Road Safety Ranger Z community.
This event was attended by the Head of the ULM Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau Drs. Parmasihat representing the Rector of ULM, Head of Traffic for the Banjarmasin Police, Commissioner M Taufiq Qurrahman, and Safety Riding Supervisor of PT Trio Motor Yoga Prabowo. Drs. Parmasihat in his speech expressed his appreciation for the holding of the Safety Riding Seminar. “This seminar activity is very helpful in providing understanding to students, especially in the campus environment, to move traffic in an orderly manner and for the sake of mutual security, comfort and safety,” he said.
Head of PT Jasa Raharja South Kalimantan Branch, Benyamin Bob Panjaitan said that implementing the safety riding campaign is one of the company’s missions. “We want to provide an understanding of driving safety to student motorcyclists, we also want to invite them to become agents of change in maintaining security and safety on the road.”
He said that Jasa Raharja’s goal was not only limited to providing compensation to the community, but also involved active participation in socialization activities and increasing traffic safety awareness. “Hopefully collaboration with related work partners and other parties can help accelerate increasing public awareness of the importance of traffic safety, this is solely done to reduce the rate of accidents that occur in South Kalimantan Province,” he added.
Through this activity, it is hoped that drivers will understand and be more careful when driving and passing traffic. After completing a series of activities related to safety riding, students have the opportunity to ask questions and take quizzes on the material that has been presented. The activity closed with the distribution of prizes and giveaways by PT Jasa Raharja South Kalimantan Branch and PT Trio Motor to students who were active during the activity.
