Field Visit by ASIIN, ULM Proposes 4 Study Programs for International Accreditation
Banjarbaru – The Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Forestry, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received a visit from the ASIIN (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik) team on Tuesday (5/9/2023). This visit was a field assessment in order to follow up on applications for international accreditation for 4 (four) study programs, namely the Bachelor of Soil Science, Bachelor of Agribusiness, Bachelor of Agricultural Industrial Technology and Bachelor of Forestry Science study programs.
There are 7 (seven) people who are members of the assessor team as ASIIN representatives, namely Prof. Dr. Matthias Kleinke ((Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences), Prof. Dr. Jurgen Pretzsch (Technical University of Dresden), Prof. Dr. Bernhard Seggewiss (University of Applied Sciences Neubrandenburg), Dr. Dessy Adriani (University Representative from Sriwijaya University ), Yayang Vionita (Industry representative from PT Cinquer Agro Nusantara), Fitria Yasmin Mazaya (Student Representative from Gadjah Mada University), and Mr. Christian Daniels as ASIIN representative.
The arrival of the ASIIN assessor team was welcomed directly by the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., at the ULM Faculty of Agriculture, Banjarbaru. In this agenda, the assessor team conducted questions and answers regarding the further development of the university, the position of the program in the context of the university, the profile of the program, and other aspects at the university level. Prof. Ahmad on this occasion provided several explanations to the assessor team regarding the vision, mission, programs, achievements that have been and will be targets for the university, as well as various matters related to academic activities at the university level.
The agenda then continued with a meeting between ASIIN assessors and each head of the study program to be accredited. This ASIIN accreditation field assessment activity lasted for 3 days, from 5-7 September 2023. Assessors from ASIIN not only met with the Chancellor and Head of Study Program, but also with students, alumni, teaching staff, and institutions or industries that were partners of the program related studies.
