Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Openness in 2023 in Order to Achieve the Predicate of Informative Public Agency within the Ministry of Education and Culture
Medan – In order to encourage and improve qualifications as an Informative Public Body within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) attended an event organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, namely Advocacy for Openness of Public Information in 2023. This event took place at Prof. Hall Dr. Suhadji Hadibroto Faculty of Economics and Business, Monday (04/09/2023). Attended by a number of PTN representatives throughout Indonesia, around 83 people attended. It is hoped that this event will provide benefits to improving the quality of Public Information Services within the Ministry of Education and Culture.
This activity was carried out to support efforts to achieve the target of Informative public bodies in order to successfully implement internal bureaucratic reform within the Ministry of Education and Culture, especially strengthening public information openness. Plt. Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Public Relations and Cooperation Bureau, Anang Ristanto, was present in person to open the event.
In this activity, the Ministry of Education and Culture also invited 2 resource persons from the Central Information Commission, namely Syawaludin who is the Commissioner/Chair of the KIP Information Dispute Resolution Division with the material theme “Public Information Openness Continues to Progress for an Advanced Indonesia” and Rospita Vici Paulyn who is the Commissioner for KIP Research and Documentation who providing technical guidance in order to achieve the title of Informative Public Agency in 2023 at the Public Information Openness event organized by the Central Information Commission.
By holding this activity, it is hoped that it can encourage improvements in the quality of public information services within the Ministry of Education and Culture. This effort is in line with the Ministry of Education and Culture and Technology’s internal bureaucratic reform road map where it is hoped that the number of Ministry of Education and Culture work units including State Universities (PTN) that receive the Informative Predicate will continue to increase. The Ministry of Education and Culture is targeting an additional 7-8 PTNs to receive the title of Informative Public Agency after 25 PTNs received the title of Informative Public Agency in 2022.
