28 Dentists Inaugurated at 32nd Dentist Oath

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG (ULM) took the 32nd Dentist Oath, Thursday (31/8/2023). A total of 28 dentists were inaugurated and took the oath directly by the Dean of FKG Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM., in the Hall of the Faculty of Dentistry. This oath taking ceremony was attended directly by the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., all members of the Senate of the Faculty of Dentistry, the Head of the Dental Hospital and Mouth Gusti Hasan Aman, Head of Ulin Banjarmasin Regional Hospital, Representatives of the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Service and all academic members of the ULM Faculty of Dentistry.

Director of RSGM Hasan Aman drg. Teguh Hadianto, sp.KG in his speech congratulated the new dentists and hoped that the graduates would continue to explore science through sub-specialists because he believed that science would always develop. He also advised dentists to continue to improve the quality of service to the community.

He also expressed his appreciation to ULM for collaborating and building collaboration between FKG ULM and RSGM Hasan Aman.

“The presence of RSGM cannot be separated from ULM’s support, therefore RSGM will always collaborate, sticking closely to ULM in accordance with the mandate of the founders of the faculty and RSGM,” said Drg. Firm.

At the inauguration of the 32nd dentist, out of a total of 28 dentists inaugurated, 24 of them graduated on time with 12 graduates receiving honors and 12 graduates receiving very satisfactory honors. This is of course a source of pride for FKG ULM and as proof of ULM’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of its graduate human resources.

ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., took the opportunity to attend this event to express his appreciation to the new dentists and their parents and families. He said that Indonesia, especially the South Kalimantan region, really needs contributions from new dentists in realizing national development towards a healthy society.

The Rector also reminded new dentists about the challenges they would face in the future. To face these challenges, Prof. Ahmad advised new dentists to continue to update their insight and knowledge.

“Without continuous improvement in the field of learning, you all will be left behind in filling scientific developments and keeping pace with developments in science and technology. Never stop learning here. “Be a dentist who learns endlessly,” he said.
