ULM Collaborates with Malaysia’s Sultan Idris University of Education to Collaborate
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University got the opportunity to collaborate with the Sultan Idris Education University Malaysia. This was realized in the signing of a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday (08/08/2023). This activity was carried out in the Rector’s Room. Present at this activity was the Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad, SE., M.Si, Vice Rector III Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si, Vice Rector IV Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc, Dean at ULM and the Team from Sultan Idris Education University Malaysia. This collaboration was agreed upon by the Rector of ULM and the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Meta-Technology, Sultan Idris Education University Malaysia, prof. Intermediate DR-Ing. Maizatul Biological who acted to sign the MoU.
This Memorandum of Understanding has the scope of developing cooperation in the academic and research fields, comparative studies, exchange mobility programs, collaborative training and internships.
In his speech, the Rector really appreciated and warmly welcomed the arrival of the Sultan Idris Education University Team. Sultan Idris University of Education Malaysia was formed in 1992 which means this university is already 1 century old. This is certainly not a small number when compared to ULM which is just about to carry out its 65th Anniversary in September. And this can be a benchmark for a university for its ability and experience in the world of education. “This is an indicator that this university has extraordinary experience in managing education programs,” said the Rector. Therefore, it is hoped that this collaboration will bring extraordinary benefits to both parties, especially to ULM as this university was established to produce teachers or educators who will carry out the education process for the children of the Malaysian nation.
The arrival of the Sultan Idris University of Education to ULM was not only to carry out the signing of the MoU but also to carry out an international seminar by presenting 3 speakers from the University namely Prof. Madya Dr. Bahbibi Rahmatullah, Prf. Intermediate. Dr. Aslina Saad, and Dr. Erni Marlina.
