Five Professors Reaffirmed, Target of 100 Professors in 2023 Getting Closer
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an Open Senate Session with the agenda of ULM Professor Inauguration. In this agenda, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri confirmed 5 (five) new ULM professors, taking place in the 1st floor Hall of the ULM Rectorate Building Banjarmasin on Wednesday (2/8/2023).
The five professors who were inaugurated were Prof. Dr. Fahmi Rizani, M.M., Ak. CA as Professor of Accounting, Prof. Dr. Darmiyati, S.Pd., M.Pd as Professor of Education Measurement and Evaluation, Prof. Dr. Rahmida Erliyani, S.H., M.H., as Professor of Law, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Yunani, S.E., M.Sc., as Professor of Economics, and Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghofur, S.T., M.T., as Professor of Mechanical Engineering. This inauguration significantly increased the number of professors in the last 6 months.
“We should be grateful that in the last 9 months ULM has been able to increase the number of professors by 22 people, hopefully we can reach more than 100 ULM professors, at least 100 professors,” he said. Prof Ahmad explained, currently there are 94 ULM professors, this number includes those who have just issued their SK and will be confirmed, “Just waiting for the proposal of 6 professors who hopefully can be accepted and qualify to become professors, then the number ULM professors will be able to reach 100 professors,” he said.
Prof. Ahmad believes that the increasing number of professors at ULM will place himself in a better position in competition at the national level. “Even ULM has the opportunity to develop international cooperation in a more progressive manner through international research collaboration,” he added.
