ULM Holds 2023 Baznas Scholarship Selection
The Academic and Student Affairs Bureau (BAK) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an interview selection for the 2023 Central Baznas Scholars Scholarship. The selection was held in the 2nd floor Hall of the ULM Rectorate Building Banjarmasin for 2 days (24-25 July 2023). As many as 47 of the 52 ULM students who registered were declared to have passed the administration and were entitled to take part in the interview selection from the 2023 Central Baznas Scholars Scholarship team. The Baznas Scholarship is a program from the National Amil Zakat Agency which has the task of providing education funds to ensure the sustainability of educational programs as intergenerational accountability and prepare the next generation of the nation. This scholarship program is intended for Diploma-IV (D4) and Bachelor (S1) level students who are studying at Baznas scholarship partner campuses, one of which is ULM. There are 4 categories of scholarships awarded by Baznas:
- Priority Majors: Computers, professions (Medicine, Psychology, Nursing, Pharmacy), Engineering, Accounting, Statistics, Zakat and Waqf Management, Communication, Economics, and Education
- Achievements: Have national and/or international achievements (preferably those that have been recorded at the National Achievement Center of the Ministry of Education and Culture)
- Entrepreneur: Having a personal business that has been running for at least 6 months
- Activist: Become a member of a student organization at least at the department level or youth/community organization.
