ULM and North Penajam Paser Regency Collaborate to Improve the Quality of Superior and Tough Human Resources

North Penajam Paser Regency – In the context of the Tridharma of education and support for the National Capital Region, University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North Penajam Paser Regency on Saturday, (15/07/2023). ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si on this occasion was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc, along with his staff at the signing of the MoU which was held at the North Penajam Paser District Head Office.

On this occasion, the Regent of North Penajam Paser Regency H. Hamdam welcomed the arrival of the ULM Rector and his entourage. He was accompanied by all the Regional Leaders of North Penajam Paser Regency. The signing of the MoU between ULM and the District Government. Penajem Paser Utara is carried out in order to recruit superior and tough human resources to welcome the relocation of the capital.

The Regent H. Hamdam in his speech welcomed and highly appreciated the willingness of the Chancellor and his staff to carry out the signing of the MoU. He believes that the preparation of superior and resilient human resources is indeed needed in line with the relocation of the capital which is already in the process of being developed.

In his remarks, the Rector introduced a little profile of ULM which is the oldest tertiary institution in the Kalimantan region. He said that the number of students in 2023 will be around more than 40 thousand students divided from several regions from Sabang to Merauke, accompanied by a total of 1400 lecturers.

Based on this information, ULM and North Penajam Paser Regency agreed to establish a cooperative relationship in order to meet the needs of superior and Tangguh human resources in the area. It is hoped that ULM will be able to contribute to building a better North Penajam Paser Regency to support the National Capital.
