ULM Holds UTMBK Tahfidz Entrance Test 2023

Banjarmasin – University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) held the tahfidz route for the 2023 Independent Selection. The tahfidz independent selection was held on the third day of UTMBK, Wednesday (12/7/2023) at the ULM Rectorate.

This year there were 15 people who registered to take the Tahfidz test at ULM, consisting of 7 men and 8 women. Participants who register through the Tahfidz route will be tested for their Al-Qurán memorization of 30 chapters.

The implementation of the Tahfidz test this year at ULM is different from previous years, where participants were only tested through memorizing the Qur’an. This year, the Tahfidz pathway participants also took an academic potential test.

Head of ULM Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Dra. Hj. Lisna Rahmawaty, M.Pd explained, this policy was in accordance with the direction of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture and based on the evaluation results of implementation in previous years. said Lisna.

Lisna explained that the academic potential test was carried out to measure the participants’ academic abilities. While testing the ability of tahfidz is measured by the weight of memorizing as much as 60%, 20% tajwid, and 20% makhorijul letters. dr. Lisna said that holding the Tahfidz UTMBK Pathway at ULM was also one of the efforts to capture student talent at ULM. “We really need the existence of tahfidz, as the imam of the mosque, to participate in competitions and competitions, especially if there is a National MTQ, we can participate later,” she said.
