Percasi Kalsel Holds South Kalimantan Provincial Kejurprov
Banjarmasin – The Provincial Management (pengprov) of the Indonesian Chess Association (Percasi) of South Kalimantan carried out the South Kalimantan team-wide Team Championship which was held at the Multipurpose Building of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Banjarmasin on Saturday (24/06/2023). In the Kejurprov event, the ULM Rector Banjarmasin fixed trophy, the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education ULM Banjarmasin won the permanent trophy and the permanent trophy chairperson of South Kalimantan Percasi.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE, M.Sc., in his speech really appreciated this activity. He feels that this championship deserves our attention, which later South Kalimantan has been chosen to host the 2023 National Pomnas XVIII, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports will open the event directly to South Kalimantan on November 25, 2023.
This is reinforced by the MOU between ULM and the Ministry of Youth and Sports relating to the superior program of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Entrepreneurs achieving the selection of young beginner entrepreneurs, how do our young generations raise entrepreneurship, especially ULM. Entrepreneurs related to sports development. Arousing the entrepreneurial spirit of the younger generation in Indonesia. The Rector also expects the chess athletes to prepare themselves. “It is hoped that Percasi will really prepare himself as well as possible so he can be the best. Show off your accomplishments for the banua.” said the Rector.
In this championship, the first place was won in the Team Kejurprov team in 2023 which was won by the South Kalimantan Pre-PON team, then the Banjarbaru Team won second place and the Banjarmasin Team won third place. For the Pre PON Team that won first place on behalf of Fide Master (FM) M Miftahul Hudany; National Master (NM) Hadiyannoor; NM Yazid Pratama; Ahmad Fauzi and Abi Dzar Ghiffari.
NM Hadiyannoor said that the Kejurprov is a place to practice skills before participating in the 2023 National Sports Week (PON) event in Palangkaraya City, Central Kalimantan Province. “Kejurprov is a place for skills to compete to finalize preparations for participating in the Pre PON later,” he said.
