The Inauguration of Three Professors from Three Faculties Will Be Followed by Five Professors In The Near Future
Banjarmasin – University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) again confirmed a professor. A total of 3 (three) professors were inaugurated by the Rector of ULM on Wednesday (17/5/2023) in the 1st floor Hall of the ULM Rectorate Building.
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., directly appointed Prof. Dr. Drs. Suyanto, MP., as a Professor in the field of Mapping of Soil Culture Science, Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Rizali, M.Sc., as a Professor in the Science of Biological Control at the Faculty of Agriculture, and Prof. Dr. Drs. Bachruddin Ali Akhmad, M.Sc., as Professor of Communication Studies at the ULM Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
From this inauguration, the number of professors owned by ULM has reached 76 people. The Rector said, in the near future there will be 5 professors who will be confirmed so that later ULM will have 81 professors.
“Hopefully by the end of this year we can reach the target of 100 ULM professors,” said the Rector  in his remarks.
The Rector also said that to support this target ULM had established various policies to encourage the acceleration of Professorship. One of these policies is the establishment of a team to accelerate the promotion of functional positions for ULM lecturers, including the acceleration of professors, head associate professors, and associate professors. ULM is also committed to providing facilities that support the accelerated increase in functional positions.
In this series of inauguration activities, each professor delivered his scientific oration. Prof. Dr. Drs. Suyanto, MP with the title of Scientific Oration “Conservation of Ironwood Species (Eusideroxylon zwagery T. & B.) Based on Geospatial Information in the Humida Tropical Region”. Prof. Dr. Ir. Akhmad Rizali, M.Sc., with the title of Scientific Oration “Bacillus thuringiensis Bacteria as a Biological Control Agent”. Prof. Dr. Drs. Bachruddin Ali Akhmad, M.Sc., with the title Scientific Oration “Local Government Communication in Indonesia”.
