The Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) cappointedProf. Dr. dr. Hj. Fatimah, M.Hum., as Professor of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) on Thursday (16/3/2022). This inauguration event was held in the 1st floor hall of the ULM Rectorate, Banjarmasin, attended by all members of the ULM senate and leadership.
Prof. Fatimah is the 22nd professor from the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) and the 73rd ULM Professor. On this inauguration agenda, he delivered a scientific oration entitled “The Dynamics of PPKn Assessment in the Timeline of the Indonesian Education Curriculum”,
ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., targets ULM to have 100-150 Professors in the near future. Until now, the Rector said ULM was submitting 20 professor proposals and hoped that they would be approved for confirmation this year. “We at ULM continue to encourage our lecturers to be able to achieve the title of professor, the highest functional position in education, through various policies to optimize the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education,” said the Chancellor.
Prof. Dr. dr. Hj. Fatimah, M.Hum., on this occasion delivered her Scientific Oration entitled “The Dynamics of Civic Assessment in the Education Curriculum Timeline in Indonesia”. Prof. Fatimah in her conclusion assessed that the dynamics of assessing Pancasila Education and Citizenship in the timeline of the Curriculum in Indonesia, specifically in the scientific field of PPKn, in the past was strongly influenced by state political policies, especially in strengthening Pancasila values, with the “aura” of the political ideology of each regime. politics, and becomes a burden for PPKn teachers, because they are the only “fighters” of educators in terms of “making Pancasila”, “moralizing” and “personalizing” students, both in material and assessment aspects.
