The Nursing Study Program Formulates Vision, Mission, and Strategies with Related Stakeholders
Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Prod. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., was present as a speaker at the Vision, Mission, Objectives and Strategy Workshop for the Nursing Study Program which was organized by the ULM Faculty of Medicine on Wednesday (8/3/2023) at Hotel Q Grand Dafam Banjarbaru .
This workshop activity was attended by the Rector, the leadership of the Faculty of Medicine, units within the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the ULM Learning Improvement and Development Institute (LP3). In order to gather input from various parties, ULM also invited relevant stakeholders starting from state and private hospitals, the Health Office, Community Health Centers, the Social Service, the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI), the Association of Indonesian Nurses Education Institutions (AIPNI) both central and regional levels in Kalimantan region.
The Rector of ULM in this activity said that the formulation of the vision and mission of the study program must be based on 2 (two) things, namely being realistic and in line with the vision and mission of the university and faculties. In formulating the vision and mission, the study program must also determine what it wants to achieve based on the Key Performance Indicators (IKU).
A realistic vision, explained the Rector, is created and implemented based on planning principles that can be carried out and easily translated by interested stakeholders. Prof. Ahmad also gave directions that a strategy was needed in formulating the vision and mission to the study program work programs. “It is necessary to prepare alternative options to provide arguments when we face the assessment process later,” said the Rector.
Nursing Study Program Coordinator Dr. Agianto, S.Kep., Ns., M.N.S., Ph.D conveyed that the implementation of the activity began with the presentation of the draft vision-mission and Forum Group Discussion (FGD) to gather input regarding the vision, mission, goals and strategies of the ULM Nursing Study Program. The previous vision and mission decree will end this year. “From this activity, we will try to formulate the vision, mission, goals, and strategies for the Nursing study program based on the direction from the Chancellor and input from all parties,” said Dr. Agi.
