Lambung Mangkurat University added three new doctoral programs
Banjarmasin, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has added three new doctoral programs (S3) which are ready to open for the 2023-2024 academic year after obtaining operational permits from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. “We have proposed the opening of a Doctoral Degree in Education Administration, Doctoral Program in Indonesian Language and Doctoral Degree in Social Sciences Education which are entering the field assessment stage by a team of assessors,” said ULM Postgraduate DiRector Prof. Ahmad Suriansyah in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Wednesday.
According to Prof Sur, the presence of the three new Doctoral Programs, his nickname, the more complete the scientific fields developed by the ULM Postgraduate Program. It is known that currently there are six Doctoral Programs owned by ULM, namely Doctoral in Agricultural Science, Doctoral in Development Studies, Doctoral in Environmental Science, Doctoral in Medical Science, Doctoral in Law and Doctoral in Management Science. Prof. Suriansyah said that people in South Kalimantan and the island of Kalimantan in general do not need to go far to study on the island of Java to pursue a doctoral degree because at ULM there are more and more choices.
He also guarantees that the quality of lectures at ULM is highly guaranteed through superior accreditation which is pinned on several study programs. Then infrastructure facilities also continue to be developed until they get recognition from the ministry’s assessor team when conducting field assessments if the ULM Postgraduate is equivalent to other superior PTNs in Indonesia. “We also have lecturers and expert resources according to the fields developed in the Masters and Doctoral Programs including the support of 72 professors,” said Prof. Suriansyah who is a professor of Education Management.
At ULM’s 110th graduation today, the Postgraduate Program released 129 masters and 10 doctors who graduated with the best GPA and the average study period was getting shorter, even for the Doctoral Program it only took 2.5 years.
