Akbar Reunion III IKA FAHUTAN ULM Was Successful
All kinds of processes and preparations that had been carried out several months earlier by the Committee and also all FAHUTAN ULM Alumni had paid off completely with the holding of the IKA Fahutan Grand Reunion III which was successful and lively. 10 to 12 February 2023 with various agendas and different places.
On the first day of Friday, February 10 2023, 2 activities were carried out in different places. The first activity was the MUBES (Grand Deliberation) which was attended by representatives of each Alumni Force to discuss various kinds of problems and at the same time elect the new management and Chairperson of the IKA ALUMNI. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Mr. Dr. H. Kissinger, S.Hut, MSi congratulated the MUBES and hoped that the results obtained would be of use to the Alumni. After the Mubes took place in the end Dr.Ir. Muhammad Helmi, MM was elected as the new chairman of IKA for the 2023 to 2027 period replacing the previous chairman, namely Mr. Ir. H. Naparin, MP.
Another activity at the same time was the planting of 2,000 tree seedlings by Alumni in Mandiangin, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province. Which theme for this Grand Reunion activity is ‘Foresters’ Service for Green Indonesia’. So this activity is certainly very representative of the theme. This planting was carried out by representatives of Alumni, Students and also Provincial Forestry Office employees. South Kalimantan, some of whom are Alumni from Fahutan ULM. Where is the Head of the South Kalimantan Provincial Forestry Service, Mrs. Hj. Fatimatuzzahra, S.Hut, MP was also present at the planting. As is well known, he is also an Alumni from the ULM Faculty of Forestry.
On the second day, Saturday 11 February 2023, activities focused on the ULM Banjarbaru Auditorium Building. Where from morning to noon workshops were held with the theme ‘strengthening the role of the IKA Faculty of Forestry towards the Faculty to support a green Indonesia and a prosperous society’. This activity presented various speakers such as Dr. Hanif Faisol N. S. Hut. MP. (Secretary of the DiRector General of Forestry Planning and Environmental Management, Ministry of Environment and Forestry), Prof. Dr. Ir. H.Gt. M.Hatta, MS (Professor Emeritus of Fahutan ULM), Ir. H. Asrul Anwar. (Chairman of the Indonesian Forest Entrepreneurs Association Komda Kal-Tim), Prof. Moses Foresto, S. Hut. MM Ph.D (Artist/Visual art Practicioner in Painting) and M. Yusuf S.Hut. MP (Manager External Affairs of PT Arutmin Indonesia). Present as the moderator was Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Yudi Firmanul Arifin, M.Sc. (Professor of the Faculty of Forestry ULM).
After the workshop was finished, the event continued with the presentation of the results of the ULM Fahutan IKA Grand Conference (Mubes) and the handover of the position of the new Chair of the ULM Fahutan IKA from Mr. Ir. H. Naparin MP to Dr.Ir. H. Muhammad Helmi, MM. Still in the Auditorium environment, an MSME Expo was also held which was attended by several batch Alumni to market their respective products.
The next activity at night was a Gala Dinner and also the handover of compassion for senior lecturers and Education Staff/staff who had retired and continued with the distribution of 2 packages of Umrah door prizes from the Sponsor. Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat Prof. Dr. Ahmad SE, MSi was also present and gave a speech at the Gala Dinner. He praised the cohesiveness and hard work of the ULM Fahutan Alumni so they could successfully organize this big event. Then the event continued with performances from Sylva Power Band and Padi Reborn which made the Alumni who filled the ULM auditorium very entertained.
