Socialization of SNPMB, Rector emphasized that it takes place in an honest, transparent and accountable manner
Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is holding socialization and promotion activities for the 2023 National Selection of New Student Admissions (SNPMB) to Heads of SMA, SMK and MA/equivalent throughout South Kalimantan. This activity was held at the Lecture Theater General Building ULM Banjarmasin on Thursday (2/2/2023). The implementation of this event is held offline and online for the Principal who cannot be present in person at the venue. In this event, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri. S.E., M.Si had the opportunity to give a live speech.
Prof. Ahmad said that ULM has prepared more than 6,000 quotas for new student admissions in 2023. Acceptance of new students at ULM is carried out based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 48 of 2022 concerning Admission of New Students for Diploma Programs and Undergraduate Programs at State Universities. The Ministry of Education and Culture through the Education Examination Management Center (BPPP) is holding a National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) in 2023, which consists of National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), and selection independently by each State University. respectively.
ULM has 11 faculties and more than 100 study programs which will later be filled by more than 6,000 new students for the 2023/2024 academic year. Based on the regulations from the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is determined that SNBP is held at least 20% of the total quota for new student admissions that are opened, SNBT is at least 40%, and independent selection is a maximum of 30% for ULM which has now become an institution in the form of a BLU (Public Service Agency).
“For students who wish to continue their education at state universities, you have no other choice but to prepare yourself as well as possible to take part in the selection process for new student admissions,” said the Rector. The Rector also asked the Principal, school operators, and related school managers to pay attention to information and important dates related to the 2023 SNPMB.
For implementation of SBNP 2023: Creation of SNPBM-BPPP accounts from 16 January to 15 February 2023, Determination of Eligible Students by Schools on 03 January 2023 – 08 February 2023, Completion of PDSS on 09 January 2023 – 09 February 2023, and SNBP Registration on 14 – 28 February 2023, and Announcement of SNBP Results on March 28, 2023.
For the 2023 UTBK AND SNBT schedule: Creation of a SNPMB-BPPP Account on 16 February to 3 March 2023, Registration for UTBK-SNBT on 23 March-14 April 2023, Implementation of UTBK Batch 1 on 08-14 May 2023, Implementation of UTBK Batch 2 on 22- 28 May 2023, and Announcement of SNBT Results on 20 June 2023, and there is a UTBK Certificate Download Period on 26 June -31 July 2023.
“God willing, according to the Rector’s instructions we will carry out SNPMB in an honest, transparent and accountable manner. So if there are objections we can follow up in accordance with the applicable regulations,” said ULM Deputy Rector for Academic Affairs Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F.
