ULM Builds Volunteer Post For 18th Haul Guru Sekumpul
The 18th Haul is of course something new for Lambung Mangkurat University, this is their first haul to establish a post to participate in helping serve the pilgrims who come. What’s more, those who went straight to the post were the number one person at Lambung Mangkurat University, the vice Rector and also the lecturers and dozens of students who were also involved in serving the haul pilgrims.
The Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Prof. Ahmad while at the ULM main post also mingled with students and residents at the location of the ULM main post which is in the Setia Damai alley of Sungai Sipai Village, Martapura District, Banjar Regency. “Thank God, this year ULM can participate by being able to form volunteers for the 18th Haul Abah Guru Sekumpul and it is hoped that this can be a good start for ULM and it is our hope that we can always participate,” he said. The Rector of ULM also hoped that it would not only be Haulan Abah Guru Sekumpul that they could participate. Banjar Regency and especially South Kalimantan have many ulemas who, when the anniversary of the haul, many worshipers attend.
South Kalimantan is a religious area so that Universal Lambung Mangkurat is part of the people of South Kalimantan, the people of the continent, of course, must have concern in order to participate and at the same time is a form of appreciation to the scholars in South Kalimantan. “We hope to be able to participate in various religious activities, especially those related to the commemoration of religious holidays, including the haul commemoration of habaib teachers in South Kalimantan,” he said.
On the 18th haul of the charismatic clerics, ULM opened 10 posts at several points both in the Martapura area and outside of Banjar Regency by sending students who wanted to participate to serve haul pilgrims. “We send hundreds of students and this for them is a form of education from the entire academic community of Lambung Mangkurat University, we form 10 posts by involving hundreds of students who are involved,” he said.
He added that at first they sent students an average of 10 people in 1 post, but it turned out that the enthusiasm of students to participate was extraordinary and this should be grateful that it turned out that students had very high concern in providing services to guests who came from various regions. including guests from outside South Kalimantan who took part in the 18th Abah Guru Sekumpul haul activities in 2023.
ULM opened the post from the 26th yesterday during haul at the governor’s residence until the haul activities at Sekumpul. ULM also sends medical students to help pilgrims who experience health problems. “Apart from students from other faculties whose job it is to supply consumption to the congregation, we also dispatched more than 20 students from the medical faculty with the assistance of 2 ambulances, they are ready to serve the pilgrims who are present,” concluded the Rector.
