Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Holds PTN and LLDikti Public Relations Coordination Meetings

Jakarta – In order to improve coordination and synergy between the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology with State Universities (PTN), Academics and Higher Education Serde Institutions (LLDikti) in the field of public relations and socialize the Diktiristek Public Relations Award, Directorate General of Higher Education, Research , and Technology invited public relations representatives from each agency to attend the Public Relations Coordination Meeting of PTN and LLDikti 2023. This event lasted for 2 days starting from 3-4 August 2023 in the Auditorium Room 2nd Floor Building D, Kemendikbudristek Complex.

Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) also attended the Public Relations Coordination Meeting which this year carries the theme “Synergizing to Build Higher Education”. This event, which is routinely held every year, was held in order to evaluate the implementation of the activities and performance of the Public Relations Unit which was attended by 75 PTNs and 16 LLDikti within the scope of the Diktiristek. In this activity, the socialization of public relations awards and cooperation was also carried out at the same time. It is hoped that this activity will foster a positive spirit of competition in the public relations sector. Lastly, this agenda also aims to share experiences (lessons learned) in the world of public relations and the practice of public relations for PTN, PTS, and LLDikti.

This activity was also attended by the Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc. DIC. Ph. D. IPU. ASEAN Eng. In his direction, Prof. Nizam emphasized the urgency of the existence of public relations in every PTN and LLDikti. According to him, Public Relations at each PTN and LLDikti plays a very important role in communicating many things. He hopes that this activity will make everyone determined to work together to build higher education towards a higher quality.

Present as resource persons who are competent in their fields, namely the Chairperson of the Association of Indonesian PR Companies (APPRI), Managing Director of Imogen PR, Jojo S. Nugroho with material Concocting Press Releases that the Mass Media Favors; Deputy General Secretary 2 of Perhumas, Emmy Kuswandari, IAPR gave material on Friendly Tips with Mass Media; SAC Indonesia’s Head of Engagement & Community, Riska Noer Zaitun provided material on Trends and Social Media Analysis; Associate Communication Expert at the Presidential Staff Office, Prita Laura with the subject of Government Crisis Communication in the Digital Age; and General Chairperson of Iprahumas, Thoriq Ramadani with materials on Government Communication Strategy Good Practices. Meanwhile, the socialization regarding the 2023 Diktiristek Public Relations Award was delivered by Young Expert Public Relations Officer, Dinna Handini and the series of activities were closed by the Cooperation and Public Relations Coordinator, Yayat Hendayana.

The movement and dynamics of an organization cannot be separated from its relationship with the activities of other organizations and their environment, therefore one of the needs for the availability of information is very necessary. For this reason, accurate, precise and fast information is needed. This information can include notifications, questions, reports or thoughts that you want to convey to other parties, both individuals, organizations and the community so that the role of public relations in an agency is very important in fulfilling the goals of an institution to develop more in terms of managing information dissemination.

For information, public relations or what is known as Public Relations is a strategic process in managing the delivery and dissemination of information related to an organization to the public or the public in order to maintain a good reputation of the organization and its brand. The rapid development of science and technology has greatly influenced progress in the government and private sectors. They compete to always be able to improve their ability to work in the work environment they face.

Through this Coordination Meeting, public relations practitioners are expected to be able to improve coordination and good synergy between the Director General of Higher Education and State Academic Universities and LLDIKTI in the field of public relations
