ULM Holds RI’s 78th Anniversary Ceremony

Banjarmasin – Commemorating the 78th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) held a flag ceremony at the ULM Banjarmasin Open Space yard on Thursday (17/8/2023). ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., served as the inspector of the ceremony, reading out the 1945 Proclamation of Independence, which was then followed by reading the mandate speech from Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

This ceremony was attended by the leadership and staff of Lambung Mangkurat University as well as new ULM students for the 2023/2024 academic year. The flag-raising troop from the PG-PAUD study program FKIP ULM was on duty at this ceremony, followed by the ULM Marching Band team as accompanists of the Indonesia Raya anthem.

At the end of the series of ceremonies, the agenda was filled with the awarding of the Medal of Honor by the Rector of ULM to civil servants who had served for a long time at ULM. The civil servants who were representatives to receive the medal included Dr. Mahyuni, S.Sos, M.A.P from FISIP with 10 years of service, Prof. Muthia Elma, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D from the Faculty of Engineering with 20 years of service, and Prof. Drs. Wahyu, M.S., from FKIP with 30 years of service.

On this agenda, a symbolic handover of assistance for mobilization facilities in the form of bicycles was also carried out for inbound PMM students at ULM. The Rector of ULM was accompanied by Vice Rector I Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr. Sp.F., M.Kes., and Diani Ayu Pratiwi, M.Pd as the coordinator of PMM ULM symbolically received this assistance from representatives of the State Savings Bank (BTN).
