Visit of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture in the Context of Monitoring the Independent Campus Program
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received a visit from the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture in order to carry out monitoring of the Ministry of Freedom Campus Priority Program Episodes 2, 6 and 20 on Monday (31/07/2023). This activity took place in the 2nd Floor Hall of the ULM Rectorate. Present at the ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad S.E, M.Si, ULM Vice Rector I Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH, the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture, including Mustamar, Bayu Sarwo Winoto, and Elnida, Head of SPI ULM, Head of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau and PIC of each program.
This visit was carried out in the framework of monitoring the Ministry of Freedom’s Kampus Merdeka Priority Program. In his speech, the Rector hoped that this activity could be carried out as well as possible and could benefit ULM in managing activities funded by the Ministry. Later, there will be a number of activities that will be evaluated by the IG team, therefore the Rector  hopes that each team/PIC can provide an explanation of a number of matters that may need clarification so that they do not become findings in the future. “We are increasingly pleased to be visited by the Inspector General because this will improve improvements in ULM’s internal management and supervision,” said the Rector.
This visit itself is a directive from the Inspector General in order to monitor the Ministry’s priority programs episodes 2, 6, and 20, where according to the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Mustamar, in Episode 2 there are 6 programs that will be evaluated for their implementation including internship programs and certified independent studies, independent campus programs, PMM program, State University accreditation program, independent entrepreneur program, Indonesian International Student Mobility Award (IISMA). In episode 6 there are 3 programs, namely the IKU PT incentive program, the Merdeka Campus Competition Program, the matching fund program. Finally, 1 program in episode 20 is a teaching practitioner program.
Mustamar hopes that in the next 5 days the coordinators and PIC of each program will be able to provide the requested data so that it can be reported to the Center. He also said that in expressing the results obtained through these programs after the facts so that if there are improvements, the Itjen team can help with these improvements which are expected to have a good impact on ULM itself. This monitoring begins with data collection through instruments that have been prepared by the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education and Culture where the data in question are several instruments that must be filled in by program managers in the form of documents and so on. So this activity will not always be accompanied by the Inspectorate General’s supervisory team, but will always be monitored by his party. “Technically, in the future we will not always be at ULM. We will try to see the planning to the achievement of priority programs carried out by the PICs,” said Bayu, one of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Inspectorate General Team during this visit.
The Rector hopes that through this activity he can provide enlightenment, insight, and alignment or resolution of matters that are not in accordance with what should be related to the Priority programs of the Ministry of Independent Campus which have been carried out by ULM.
