Dr. Andi Tenri Sompa, S.I.P., M.Sc Officially Serves as Chairman of the South Kalimantan KPU 2023-2028
JAKARTA – The position of Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) for the Province of South Kalimantan (Kalsel) for the 2023-2028 period is officially held by Andi Tenri Sompa. The position determination was based on the results of deliberations of all South Kalimantan KPU commissioners, several hours after being sworn in in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/5/2023). This news was also confirmed directly by Andi Tenri. He only gave short answers via Whatsapp messages. “Alhamdulillah,” wrote this academician, who is a lecturer in FISIP at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM).
In the division division, Andi Tenri is assigned as Head of the Finance, General Affairs and Logistics Division/Deputy Head of the Legal and Supervision Division. He was assisted by four other South Kalimantan KPU members, namely Arif Mukhyar, M Fahmi Failasopa, Nida Guslaili Rahmadina and Riza Anshari. Arif served as Head of Planning, Data and Information Division/Deputy Head of Finance, General Affairs and Logistics Division.
Fahmi as Head of the Socialization, Voter Education, Community Participation Division, and HR/Deputy Head of the Planning, Data and Information Division. Nida is in charge of the Head of the Election Implementation Technical Division/Deputy Head of the Dissemination, Voter Education, Community Participation, and HR Division. Riza as Head of the Legal and Oversight Division/Deputy Head of the Technical Division for Election Administration.
A few hours earlier, the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari, appointed five South Kalimantan KPU commissioners for the 2023-2028 period. The inauguration coincided with 19 other provinces, namely Bengkulu, Jambi, West Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Riau Islands, Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan. Then, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, Gorontalo, North Sulawesi, Central Papua, South Papua, Mountain Papua and Southwest Papua.
