Professor from Japan Becomes Resource Person in Sendikom 2023
The Computer Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the 2023 National Computer Education Seminar (Sendikom), which took place in the hall on the second floor of the Best Western Kindai Hotel Banjarmasin, Wednesday (24/5/2023). The seminar with the theme “Prospects of artificial intelligence-based interactive learning media in the implementation of an independent curriculum”, presented speakers from Japan namely Prof. Pitoyo Peter Hartono, a Professor from the dept. Of electrical and electrical engineering Chukyo University Nagoya, Japan. In addition, there is also Prof. Dr. Munir as professor of computer science education management at the Indonesian University of Education Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Dr. Harja Santana Purba Coordinator of the FKIP ULM computer education study program.
Coordinator of the FKIP ULM computer education study program Dr. Harja Santana Purba, one of these activities aims to share how technology develops in Indonesia and abroad. So that later the study program can adapt to its development. “So with activities like this, we can ground what is outside, the depth of forms that can be done,” he said. Most participants in this activity are students who are in their final semester.
According to him, this activity is one of the efforts to complete studies on time. Because most of the final semester students are working, it is more difficult for them to return to campus for various reasons. “With this seminar, they are assisted to recognize the results seminar, so if you take part in this seminar there is no need for a results seminar, just take the exam,” he said. It is hoped that through this activity, later when the seminar exam results will not pile up anymore, because some have been recognized through this national seminar. Then students are also expected to be able to get new ideas from references from sources to do their final assignment.
