ULM and PT. Maruwai Coal Discuss Opportunities for PTN Collaboration and Industry

Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received a visit from PT. Maruwai Coal (PT Adaro Group) on Wednesday (15/3/2023). Rector of ULM Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., was present to welcome the PT. Maruwai Coal in the Chancellor’s Room, ULM Rectorate, Banjarmasin. On this occasion, audiences and discussions were also held between the Chancellor and PT. Maruwai Coal. In the discussion, PT. Maruwai Coal expressed their openness to collaborate with ULM, especially in the field of scientific research.

Collaboration between the business world and the academic world is considered necessary and important considering that there are different points of view held by business practitioners and researchers. It is hoped that collaboration between professional practitioners and competence from academics will result in more in-depth and comprehensive research. Through collaboration with ULM and PT. Maruwai Coal is expected to be able to identify and obtain solutions on various matters including managing carbon emissions, increasing participation and welfare of the surrounding community as well as protecting and preserving the environment.
