Requirements and Registration Procedures for International Students at ULM

Registration Requirements
1. Academic Requirements: International applicants must submit their diploma and academic transcripts from the last completed educational level, meeting minimum grade standards set for each program (Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral).
2. Language Proficiency:
– English: TOEFL or IELTS certificate with a minimum score as specified for programs conducted in English.
– Indonesian: For programs taught in Indonesian, applicants need a BIPA certificate or an equivalent Indonesian language proficiency certificate. Exceptions can be made for applicants from countries with a similar instructional language.
3. Administrative Requirements:
– Valid Passport: A passport valid for the duration of study in Indonesia.
– Student Visa: A student visa applied for at the Indonesian embassy or consulate in the applicant’s home country.
– Health Certificate: A health certificate from a recognized medical institution, stating freedom from specific infectious diseases.
– Recommendation Letter: For Master’s and Doctoral levels, a recommendation letter from the previous academic institution is required.
– Financial Statement: Proof of financial ability from a sponsor or self-support.
– Health Insurance: Health insurance covering medical services in Indonesia.

Registration Procedures
1. Filling Out the Online Application Form: Applicants fill out the form accurately on ULM’s registration portal.
2. Uploading Required Documents: All required documents are uploaded digitally (PDF/JPEG).
3. Payment of Administrative Fee: Registration fees are paid through bank transfer or an online system.
4. Document Verification and Administrative Screening: The ULM team verifies document completeness. Applicants are given time to make corrections if any document is missing.
5. Academic Selection: This includes an academic evaluation and, if necessary, additional exams or interviews.
6. Announcement of Results: Results are announced via the ULM portal, and accepted applicants will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for their visa application.
7. Visa Application and Pre-departure Preparation: International students apply for a study visa and prepare for departure.
8. Re-registration and Orientation: Upon arrival at ULM, international students complete re-registration and participate in an orientation program for academic and social adjustment.
