HIMA TEKPEND FKIP Holds EXCAMP 2024 “Honeing Leadership Skills in the Digital Era to Form a Generation of Leaders with Resilience and Integrity”
Pelaihari, 23-25 January 2024 – HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM presents an unforgettable experience through the Educational Technology Explore Camp (EXCAMP) Outdoor 2024 activity. Located at the Agribusiness Science and Technology Development Center (PUSPITEK AGRIPEKA) ULM, this event embraces the participants for three days, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. With the theme of the event, “Honeing Leadership Skills in the Digital Era to Form a Generation of Leaders with Resilience and Integrity.”
Before the trip started, the Events Division Coordinator, Wildan Tamami, held a briefing for the committee to prepare for departure to the event location. This step was then followed by a briefing from the General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, Akhmad Fadhil Amara, to all EXCAMP Outdoor 2024 participants. The event was also blessed with a warm welcome and release from the Lecturer representing Educational Technology FKIP ULM, Dr. Agus Salim, S.Ag, M.M.Pd., who also encouraged all participants.
After participants arrived at the event location, they were given instructions to build a tent and have a meal together, as a first step to strengthening bonds between participants. The event continued with the delivery of material that explored aspects of student development, both from an organizational and academic perspective, which was delivered with full experience by the General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM for the 2022/2023 period, M. Rizal. This material includes strategies for developing work programs and committees that are relevant to the activity context. The session continued with interactive discussions and questions and answers, allowing participants to share their views and experiences, as well as deepen their understanding of the topics presented.
Next, participants were asked to look for firewood for the campfire and art performance, followed by a mentor greeting session with their respective groups to ask about the participants’ health and their readiness for the cult and art performance. After this session, it continues with Ishoma (rest, prayer and eating) until evening prayer time.
Participants took part in a film screening and discussion led by the General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, Akhmad Fadhil Amara. The films shown include “Hakadza” about Togetherness and Family, “The Sky is Not Always Grey” about Ethics, and “Coffee Sauce” about Leadership. After the discussion, participants were invited to play impersonate games by event division member Hafidz Arrasyid to lighten the atmosphere. The entire event ended with a message from the event division coordinator, Wildan Tamami, to return to the tent and rest.
Wednesday begins with tahajjud prayers and worship in the pavilion, with the theme of goodness. Followed by gymnastics on the field led by a member of the events division, Hafidz Arrasyid. After exercise, participants cook, eat and clean the tent.
Participants gather for various games. First, they play the role of each department to create a new work program. In between games, they did ice breaking by performing group chants. The second game is a glass balance, where each group has to lift a glass using a rope tied to their group members. After that, they rested until midday prayer time followed by a “halo effect” game for self-reflection. Finally, they took part in a folk relay game and prepared the foundation for a bonfire for the arts performance in the evening. After the foundation for the campfire was built, the participants were directed to Ishoma (rest, pray and eat) until evening prayer time.
After Ishoma, the committee lit a bonfire, and the field coordinator gathered the participants to line up according to groups. Next, the event continued with an art performance guided by the event coordinator, Wildan Tamami, where each group randomly presented their performance. After the art performance is finished, participants are allowed to return to the tent to sleep.
On the last day, participants took part in an inauguration and halal bi halal event led by the General Chair of HIMA TEKPEND FKIP ULM, Akhmad Fadhil Amara, and chief executive Muhammad Ihsan who provided motivation to the participants. After that, the participants tidied up their attributes and lines for the main event, namely Reading the Pledge, Kissing the Flag, and Siraman, followed by greetings with the committee and taking a group photo. Finally, they gathered at the pavilion to eat together before returning to Banjarmasin.

Dra. Hj. Ani Isdiati Basri, MM, Head of the Administration Section of FKIP ULM, expressed the hope that each participant could gain maximum benefits from every activity held. “Hopefully through In this LDK activity, participants not only gain additional knowledge, but can also apply it meaningfully in everyday life, both on campus and in facing the world of work in the future,” he said.
