Serving KKN for a Month, Kotabaru Regent Holds Farewell Evening with Students
Kotabaru – After about a month of carrying out the Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange (PPAP) and Field Work Lecture (KKN), students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) held a farewell evening at the residence of the Kotabaru regent on Monday (31/7/2023) .
A total of 273 students from the ULM Banjarbaru Faculty of Fisheries and Marine conducted the KKN from 3 July to 31 July 2023. They were divided to carry out KKN in 5 (five) sub-districts and 16 villages that have fisheries and marine potential.
The location where they carry out the Community Service Program is divided into Pulaulaut Sigam District, namely, Sigam Village, Gedambaan Village, Hilir Muara Village.
And Pulaulaut Utara District, namely Sungai Taib Village, Semayap Rampa Baru Village, Stagen Village, Rampa Lama Village, and for East Pulaulaut District, namely Teluk Gosong Village, Teluk Mesjid Village, Sungai Limau Village.
For Pulaulaut Tengah District, namely, Salino Village, Sungai Pasir Village, Senisir Village, and for Pulau Sebuku District, namely, Rampa Village, Ujung Village, Sekapung Village.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations of ULM Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., was present representing the Rector of ULM in the agenda for this farewell evening. Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar said, thanks to the ranks of the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the Rector of ULM for their contribution to the inter-province youth exchange activities and ULM Banjarmasin KKN students in Kotabaru for one month.
“We thank you for your dedication and for mingling with the Kotabaru community to help increase knowledge and educate local residents so they can prosper,” he said.
He also advised the sub-district heads and village heads to continue the activities initiated by the KKN and PPAP participants for ULM students for the welfare and improvement of the people’s economy.
