Kemdikbudristek Encourages More PTNs to Become Informative PTN
In order to increase public information disclosure within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), the Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau as the Coordinator of Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID) carries out Consolidated Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities for Public Information Disclosure for State Universities (PTN) in 2023, at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Solo, Thursday, July 27 2023. In this activity, good practices were discussed as well as PTN strategies in managing public information disclosure, according to the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, up to the preparation of public information disclosure assessment by the Central Information Commission.
The Coordinator of Information Services, Bureau of Cooperation and Public Relations (BKHM), Emi Salpiati, in her report expressed her appreciation to UNS Solo, which has collaborated in organizing PTN Public Information Disclosure Monitoring and Evaluation Consolidation. Emi conveyed that, based on Permendikbud Number 41 of 2020, regarding Public Information Services at the Ministry of Education and Culture, the task of the PPID coordinator of the Ministry of Education and Culture is to assist, guide and assist PPIDs under the Ministry of Education and Culture, in serving and documenting public information.
The consolidation held was seen as supporting efforts to improve the management of PTN bureaucratic reform, particularly in strengthening public information. It is hoped that from this consolidation, more state universities will win the title of informative public agency. Emi said that the Ministry of Education and Culture is targeting an increase of 10% in informative state universities each year. “It is hoped that this consolidation will equalize PTN perceptions in filling out the Public Information Disclosure Monev questionnaire instrument by the Central KI in 2023, and can increase achievements,” said Emi, in the activity which was attended by around 153 participants from various PTN in Indonesia.
UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.H., on the occasion, said that PTN had become an important public body in society, especially in implementing the tridarma of higher education to support national development. For this reason, PTN need to provide transparent and open services to the public. With openness of information, of course it can help PTN to be more trusted and accountable. “Through the provision of transparent information, PTN has the responsibility to make a decision. Decisions that are in accordance with established standards and meet people’s expectations,” said Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.
The Rector of UNS as the host, invited all PTN leaders to jointly improve their achievements in Public Information Disclosure, to become PTN towards being informative, to being informative.

For this reason, Anang hopes that PTN will be able to anticipate changes and progress in providing public information services. Not only that, a better work ethic is needed for each PPID team. So that the consolidation that is held is expected to be a joint effort in providing excellent public information services, and in particular being able to become an informative public agency. “We hope PTN is committed to and supports the implementation of the public information disclosure mandate, so that we are able to provide quality services, and invite public participation in the success of Kemdikbudristek policies,” said Anang.
