ULM Returns to Become a College Implementing the 2023 WMK Program
Jakarta – Rector of the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., attended the Office of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in Jakarta on Tuesday (27/6/2023) for the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) for the Independent Entrepreneurial Program (WMK). The signing of the 2nd PKS WMK was carried out between the Program Implementing College (PTP) and the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The signing of the PKS was carried out directly by the Rector of ULM, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Sc., and Plt. Director of Belmawa Kemdikbudrisek, Dr. Ir. Sri Gunani Partiwi, M.T.
This year ULM was selected along with 33 other state tertiary institutions spread throughout Indonesia as tertiary institutions implementing the WMK 2023 program. This is also the second time for ULM after previously being selected as PTP for the WMK program in 2022.
Independent Entrepreneurship or WMK is one of the programs from the Ministry of Education and Culture as an effort to support and facilitate students who have a passion in the field of entrepreneurship. The facilities that will be provided in the WMK program include: entrepreneurship education and training, internships, preparation of business plans, and capital support and mentoring business
Through the WMK program, it is hoped that tertiary institutions will be able to support the government’s vision and mission in realizing national independence through job creation and empowering SMEs. Entrepreneurship education and training will later include entrepreneurial spirit training, organizational training, HR management, technology introduction training, marketing training, packaging training, business plans, legality and licensing training as well as business consulting. Later WMK participants will also receive mentoring by experts and business assistants in the areas of mentoring, surveys and products.
The WMK program is also one of the implementations of the Merdeka Learning-Independence Campus (MBKM) program which has the specific goal of building links between the world of education and the world of work. Through the WMK program, it is hoped that universities can prepare their students to become reliable entrepreneurs in the future.
