Press Release: FK ULM Clarification
Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Medicine, University of Lambung Mangkurat (FK ULM) emphasized that it was not involved in uploading videos containing highlights of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) on social media TikTok. The account owner named @ratuadilnew, who has more than 2 thousand followers, is certainly not from the ULM FK academic community. “None of us were involved in making the video,” said the Dean of FK ULM dr. Palace, Saturday (3/6/2023). The Tiktok account @ratuadilnew has recently received attention, especially from health workers who are members of IDI.
A week ago, @ratuadilnew uploaded a one-minute and nine-second video with the cover title “IDI Panic Boss, Increasingly Restrains Doctors’ Democracy.” The video explains that IDI will issue an oath certificate.
“If its members are deemed to have violated, then IDI can now revoke the doctor’s recommendation at will,” the video caption reads.
However, FK ULM did not question this. Rather, photos to videos with the background of the ULM FK Campus. Some of the footage in the video is the pure work of FK ULM. The original video comes from the FK ULM Doctor’s Oath Youtube account with the upload titled “Taking the 86th Doctor’s Oath”. Istiana also emphasized that some of the excerpts were taken by the @ratuadilnew account without the permission of FK ULM.
“No one asked for permission, so we were really surprised when we first got the video,” she said.
On the other hand, Istiana admitted that she had difficulty conducting searches regarding the original owner of this Tiktok account. Therefore, the temporary measure being taken is to immediately subpoena the @ratuadilnew account. They will be busy reporting accounts and videos profiting from the ULM FK.
“If indeed there is no response or clarification from the owner of the account in question, we will be forced to think of other efforts, including going to legal channels,” she said.
