Vice Dean of FEB ULM Attends Dissemination of Provincial Economic Reports (LPP)
BANJARMASIN (10/03/2023) – Lecturer and Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Lambung Mangkurat (FEB ULM) Dr. Ahmad Greece, S.E., M,Si representing the Rector of ULM Prof. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si attended the Dissemination of Provincial Economic Reports (LPP) at the Rattan Inn Hotel, Banjarmasin. The LPP Dissemination event was attended by Central Government Agencies, Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), Banking, and business actors in South Kalimantan Province. On this occasion, Executive Director of BI Representative for South Kalimantan Province Wahyu Pratomo and Deputy Dean III of FEB Lambung Mangkurat University Ahmad Greece presented the South Kalimantan Province Economic Report.
Executive Director of BI Representative for South Kalimantan Province Wahyu Pratomo said that in the fourth quarter of 2022 the economy of the South Kalimantan Province continued to continue its positive growth trend even though it experienced a slowdown compared to the third quarter of 2022. But overall in 2022 the Province of South Kalimantan had higher growth than in 2021 He also added that in 2022, the South Kalimantan Province’s economy will grow by 5.32%. Bank Indonesia predicts that the economic growth of South Kalimantan Province in 2023 will range from 4.25% -5.05%.
On this occasion Dr. Ahmad Greece said that the contributor to the economic growth of South Kalimantan Province besides coal is the agricultural sector. However, obstacles to the progress of the agricultural sector still exist. This is caused by the availability and high price of fertilizers, extreme weather changes, and pests. In addition, Ahmad hopes that banking actors will disseminate KUR to the public to improve the community’s business economy and digitize financial transactions which have been highly developed in South Kalimantan Province.
