ULM and TVRI South Kalimantan Synergy Building Banua
Banjarmasin, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) and TVRI South Kalimantan carried out the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Wednesday, (26/01/2023). This event was held at the South Kalimantan station TVRI office. Present at the event ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si, Deputy Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Dr. Ir. Yusuf Azis, M.Sc, Head of Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Bureau Drs. Parmasihat and his staff. This event was welcomed by the Head of the South Kalimantan TVRI Station, Ir. I Gede Mustito, M.Sc.
This Memorandum of Understanding was carried out in the context of establishing cooperation regarding program publications and development within the University of Lambung Mangkurat. Many activities are expected to be carried out through this collaboration, especially those related to the Tridharma of Education and community service. The Rector also hopes that through this collaboration he can convey work programs, excellent programs, research or student achievements at ULM to the community.
The Rector on this occasion also conveyed a number of matters related to ULM, including that currently ULM has officially become a BLU State University (Public Service Agency) and is trying to build resource-based community economic empowerment in the South Kalimantan region. “ULM is looking for around 1000 hectares of land in order to support the implementation of BLU at ULM,” said the Rector. This is in accordance with the Vision and Mission that ULM wants to achieve. “We have hope that to make ULM a university that excels at the international level in wetlands research,” said the Rector.
Then the Rector also said that South Kalimantan would be entrusted with hosting the National Science Week in October 2023 through Lambung Mangkurat University. This of course really requires the participation and support of the South Kalimantan TVRI Station to make the POMNAS activities successful.
