Inauguration of the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP): Dean Encourages Synergy to Achieve Key University Performance
Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held the inauguration of the Vice Dean of FISIP ULM for the 2026–2030 period on Thursday (January 23, 2026). The event took place at the FISIP ULM Lecture Theater in Banjarmasin, as part of efforts to strengthen faculty governance and leadership in supporting the university’s performance.
The inauguration was led by the Dean of FISIP ULM, Dr. Irwansyah, S.Sos., M.Si., based on the Decree of the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University Number 005/UN.KP/2026. The inaugurated officials included Muhammad Hasanur Arifin, S.Sos., M.M. as Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mahyuni, S.Sos., M.A.P. as Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance, and Dr. Nasruddin, S.Pd., M.Sc. as Vice Dean III for Student Affairs and Alumni.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) ULM expressed his appreciation for the presence of the university leadership and congratulated the newly inaugurated Vice Deans. He emphasized that the mandate they carry ahead requires commitment, synergy, and collective work to face the increasingly complex challenges of higher education.
“Congratulations on carrying out your mandate and congratulations on your dedication. The challenges facing higher education today are even greater, especially after we jointly participated in the university’s follow-up plan meeting, which established connectors and synergy bridges to achieve ULM’s Key Performance Indicators,” he said.
The Dean of FISIP ULM also emphasized the importance of support from the entire academic community in driving quality improvement, particularly in the aspect of study program accreditation. Of the seven study programs at FISIP ULM, two have achieved superior accreditation, while the others have achieved very good accreditation, which will be the focus of future improvements.
“This is both a challenge and an opportunity for all of us. Let’s work together to revive the glory of FISIP ULM through strong cooperation and commitment,” he added.
Through this inauguration, Lambung Mangkurat University affirms its commitment to continuously strengthening leadership at the faculty level as part of the university’s broader strategy to continuously improve academic quality, institutional governance, and achieve Key Performance Indicators.
