Four ULM Teams Qualify for PIMNAS 2025, Cluster 1 Debut Affirms Student Competitiveness
Makassar – The 38th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) officially opened on Monday (November 24, 2025) at Hasanuddin University (Unhas). A total of 167 universities participated in this prestigious event.
PIMNAS is the culmination or final phase of the Student Creativity Program (PKM), held annually by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek). This program is designed to hone and develop student creativity in the fields of research, technology, community service, entrepreneurship, creative ideas, and innovative works.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D., stated in his welcoming speech that we are currently on the path to Golden Indonesia 2045 and need a generation with intelligent, resilient, adaptive, and high-quality characters.
“Pimnas is not just a competition; it’s a laboratory of ideas, where creativity meets courage, and knowledge transforms into solutions,” he said.
Prof. Brian stated that the students’ work demonstrates that today’s young generation is not only capable of competing, but also of creating, solving problems, and producing innovations that have an impact on society and industry.
This year, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) successfully sent four teams to PIMNAS 2025. This year also marked ULM’s debut in the Cluster 1 group of universities in the PKM (National Student Creativity Program) competition. Previously, in 2024, ULM was in Cluster 2, successfully qualifying 67 proposals and winning five PKM Awards.
“For these achievements, the Ministry has recognized ULM by promoting it to Cluster 1,” said ULM’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muhammad Rusmin Nuryadin, SE., M.Si.
This cluster increase presents a new challenge, as ULM will face stiffer competition from Indonesia’s top universities in PKM development. Nevertheless, ULM continues to strive to improve the quality of research, innovation, and student competitiveness.
The four ULM teams that qualified for PIMNAS 2025 include:

- Digital Comic Based on Integrated Tetrahedral Representation of Ethnochemical Sasirangan Cloth Dyeing in South Kalimantan in Solution Material – Eirene Kardiani Zalukhu (2310120120007)

The Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., also attended the 38th PIMNAS (National Student Scientific Week) at Hasanuddin University. The Rector’s presence at this event was a token of appreciation and support for the students and lecturers who had competed against hundreds of teams from various universities throughout Indonesia.
With four teams successfully qualifying for PIMNAS 2025 and their promotion to Cluster 1 for PKM development, Lambung Mangkurat University demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering a culture of research and innovation among its students.
