Faculty of Dentistry ULM’s Class of 10 Achieves Academic Achievement: Passing the UKMP2DG (General Dentistry Exam) Without Remedial Courses

Banjarmasin — The Faculty of Dentistry, Lambung Mangkurat University (FKG ULM) officially held its Dentist Oath-taking ceremony on Monday (November 24, 2025). Twenty-six graduates of the Dentistry Professional Program attended the solemn ceremony on the FKG ULM campus, witnessed by university leaders, lecturers, parents, and the graduates.
This event marked the completion of the entire educational program and the competence to serve as professional healthcare professionals who uphold ethical standards.
In her remarks, the Dean of FKG ULM, Prof. Dr. drg. Maharani Laillyza Apriasari, Sp.PM, expressed her gratitude and pride for the graduates’ achievement in achieving a 100 percent UKMP2DG pass rate.
“There are no remedial CBTs, and everyone passed the OSCE. I really admire them. Last year, a ULM Faculty of Dentistry graduate even achieved national ranking number one in the UKMP2DG (General Dental Clinic). You can be great if you want to,” she said enthusiastically.
Prof. Maharani also advised the new dentists to always maintain ethics and prioritize the interests of the community.
“Develop your respective areas to benefit the community. After that, consider personal development, pursuing a Master’s degree, or specialization,” she added.
Meanwhile, ULM Vice Rector II, Dr. Ir. Arief Rahmad Maulana Akbar, M.Si., IPU, who represented the ULM Rector, also expressed pride in the birth of new dentists from the ULM Faculty of Dentistry. He likened the profession of dentistry to engineering, which requires high skills in addition to academic knowledge.
“After being sworn in, you must continue to hone your skills,” he said.
With this oath-taking, the ULM Faculty of Dentistry reaffirmed its commitment to producing superior, ethical healthcare professionals who are ready to serve the community. Congratulations to the 30th Class of Dentists from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (ULM). May their knowledge and skills provide widespread benefits to the nation and region.
