Banjarbaru – The Pharmacy Study Program and the Pharmacist Professional Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), hosted the 2025 National Seminar, Scientific Presentation, Workshop, and Annual Membership Meeting of the Indonesian Pharmaceutical Higher Education Association (APTFI). The event took place at the Grand Qin Hotel Banjarbaru Ballroom on Thursday (10/30/2025).

Themed “Harmonization of Curriculum, Accreditation, and Technology in Pharmacy Education to Increase Global Competitiveness,” the event was attended by 303 participants from various universities, research institutions, and pharmaceutical institutions in Indonesia. This forum served as a platform for sharing knowledge, research results, and experiences among APTFI member universities.

Dr. Fauzan Adziman, S.T., M.Eng., Director General of Research and Development at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, and Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Sc., Chair of APTFI and Professor at the Islamic University of Indonesia. The plenary speakers included Prof. apt. Junaidi Khotib, M.Kes., Ph.D. (Secretary of the Directorate General of Research and Development), Prof. I Ketut Adnyana, M.Sc., Ph.D. (Director of PPM at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology), and Prof. Dr. apt. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, M.Sc., Eng. (Professor at ITB).

The Committee Chair, apt. Aditya Maulana Perdana Putra, S.Farm., M.Sc., expressed his appreciation for APTFI’s trust in appointing ULM as host of this prestigious event.

“This is a valuable opportunity to build networks and generate academic recommendations to improve the quality of national pharmacy education,” he said.

In his remarks, APTFI Chairman Prof. Yandi Syukri stated that this forum was not just a scientific event, but a strategic step to strengthen research and collaboration.

“By bringing together academics, practitioners, and policymakers, we hope to establish a solid pharmaceutical research consortium at the national level. APTFI will continue to maintain the quality of pharmaceutical higher education in Indonesia,” he said.

Meanwhile, ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bachri, S.E., M.Si., emphasized that hosting the APTFI event was a great honor for the university. He hoped this forum would strengthen collaborative networks among pharmaceutical academics throughout Indonesia and produce high-quality research at an international level.

“ULM has great potential in research, from the KHDTK area to the 600-hectare mangrove area that will be developed into the Indonesian Mangrove Laboratory and the World Mangrove Research Center,” he said.

With the support of resources and a national network through APTFI, ULM is ready to become a leading driver of pharmaceutical research oriented towards innovation and sustainability.
