ULM Ranks in the Top 15 Indonesian Universities in the 2025 AD Scientific Index
BANJARMASIN – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again achieved a proud achievement in the national academic arena, ranking among the top 15 Indonesian universities according to the 2025 AD Scientific Index. This achievement is even more special because ULM is the only university from Eastern Indonesia to reach this elite ranking.
The AD Scientific Index notes that ULM has 293 researchers ranked globally based on H-index and citations, demonstrating the high quality of research from this oldest educational institution in South Kalimantan. This achievement also confirms ULM’s position as a leading university in the Kalimantan region and demonstrates the university’s commitment to developing high-quality research.
“We truly appreciate this achievement, as it is the result of the hard work of the entire ULM academic community, especially the researchers who continue to dedicate themselves to producing scientific work,” said ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, M.Si.
The AD Scientific Index is the only university ranking system that analyzes the distribution of scientists within an institution based on the 10%, 20%, and 90% percentiles, using real-time data from 24,520 institutions worldwide. This system evaluates universities based on the Total H-Index and H-Index for the last 5 years, the Total i10 Index and i10 Index for the last 5 years, and the Total Citations and Citations for the last 5 years.
ULM is represented by 293 scientists in the AD Scientific Index, with the largest concentrations in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities, Engineering & Technology, and Education. This even distribution demonstrates ULM’s research strength, which is not focused solely on one field but encompasses a wide range of disciplines.
This achievement is a wonderful gift on the occasion of ULM’s 67th anniversary, which falls on September 21st.
