ULM’s Integrated Laboratory Achieves KAN Accreditation, Strengthening Research Quality in South Kalimantan
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has achieved another impressive achievement after the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) officially awarded accreditation to the ULM Integrated Laboratory as a testing laboratory with accreditation number LP-2160-IDN. This accreditation decision, effective August 29, 2025, will be valid for five years. This grants the ULM Integrated Laboratory the right to use the KAN Accreditation Symbol in accordance with applicable regulations.
Rector Prof. Dr. H. Ahmad Alim Bachri, SE., M.Si., stated that this achievement marks a new milestone and demonstrates the university’s commitment to maintaining research quality.
“The accreditation of the ULM Integrated Laboratory is a proud achievement and a historic milestone. This recognition encourages and ensures the quality of research not only at ULM, but also at other universities in South Kalimantan,” he said.
The Integrated Laboratory is an academic support unit (UPA) owned by Lambung Mangkurat University and was inaugurated in 2015. This success further strengthens ULM’s role as a leading university focusing on strategic research, including in the fields of environment, agriculture, health, and natural resource management in wetland areas.
With this accreditation, the ULM Integrated Laboratory is expected to improve testing quality standards, expand research networks, and support sustainable innovation at the national and international levels.
The ULM Integrated Laboratory was officially established in August 2015, with the building and services integrated since 2023. The Integrated Laboratory provides a variety of high-tech services and facilities to support research, testing, and innovation.
These services include laboratory testing, expert consultation, and access to modern equipment. Our facilities are designed to meet a variety of research and development needs, covering areas such as chemical analysis, material characterization, biological analysis, food science, and air analysis.
