ULM Inaugurates 1,300 Graduates at 125th Graduation Ceremony

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held its 125th Graduation Ceremony amidst the recovery efforts following the fire that destroyed one of its academic service buildings on Thursday (August 7, 2025). A total of 1,300 graduates from various educational levels were officially inaugurated based on ULM Rector’s Decree Number 1228/UN8/SP/2025.

The graduates who attended the ceremony included 9 Diploma program graduates, 1,108 Bachelor’s program graduates, 147 Master’s program graduates, 30 Professional program graduates, 3 Surgical Specialist graduates, and 3 Doctoral program graduates.

ULM Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmad, S.E., M.Si., expressed his gratitude for ULM’s success in guiding thousands of students to graduation, despite having recently faced a fire disaster. Sulkan himself is an alumnus of the ULM Master of Management Program.

In his remarks, the Rector also emphasized that this graduation was the third since ULM received superior accreditation from BAN-PT on April 29, 2025. A total of approximately 4,500 ULM graduates now hold superior accreditation status on their diplomas.

“This superior accredited diploma will be an important document for alumni in facing the competitive job market throughout Indonesia,” he emphasized.

However, not all of the 125th graduates were able to take home their diplomas immediately. This was because some of the prepared diploma forms were destroyed in a recent fire.

The Head of the ULM Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Nieke Rezeki Febriantie, S.E., M.M., explained that the university had moved quickly to restore academic services. New forms from Peruri were received on August 4, 2025.

“Of the 1,300 graduates today, 350 diplomas have been signed by the Rector and are ready to be distributed. The rest are still awaiting the PISN PIN request process or the delivery of additional forms from Peruri,” he said.

Diploma printing will be carried out in stages according to the availability of PISN and official forms. Graduates will be informed as soon as their diplomas are ready to be picked up at their respective faculties.

In his report, ULM Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Iwan Aflanie, dr., M.Kes., Sp.F., SH., announced the list of top graduates from each faculty and level, including:

1. FISIP: Fitri Annisa, S.I.P., Public Administration Study Program with a GPA of 4.00
2. FKIP: Maulana Mawardah, S.Pd., Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program with a GPA of 3.92
3. FH: Putri Annisa Rahmawati, S.H. Law Study Program with a GPA of 3.98
4. Economics: Siti Salimah, S.M., Management Study Program with a GPA of 3.97
5. Faculty of Agriculture: Awalia Puspita Sari, S.P., Plant Protection Study Program with a GPA of 3.78
6. Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences: Elin Tri Yanti, S.Pi., Aquaculture Study Program with a GPA of 3.96
7. Faculty of Forestry: Dhea Rizka, S.Hut., Forestry Study Program with a GPA of 3.83
8. Faculty of Medicine and Health: Maulida Nur Syifa, S.Psi., Psychology Study Program with a GPA of 3.75
9. Faculty of Dentistry: Aisyah Nur Zahra, S.K.G., Dentistry Study Program with a GPA of 3.86
10. Faculty of Engineering: Triyas Aji Sahputra, S.T., Chemical Engineering Study Program with a GPA of 3.93
11. Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences: Muhammad Michael Febrian, Computer Science Study Program with a GPA of 3.85
12. Program Master’s Degree: Rahmad Rivaldo, M.A.P., Master of Public Administration with a GPA of 4.00
13. Doctoral Degree: Dr. Fauzie Rahman, Medical Science with a GPA of 3.97
14. Professional Degree: Dr. Kezia Natania Budiharjo, Physician Education, Professional Program with a GPA of 3.80
15. Specialist Degree: Dr. Luthfi Indiwirawan, Sp.Bv., Surgery Specialist Program with a GPA of 3.44

The Rector of ULM apologized for the inconvenience experienced by some graduates due to the delay in receiving their diplomas. However, he assured that transparency, rapid recovery, and adaptive academic services are ULM’s current priorities.

Also present at the graduation were Sulkan, SH, MM, Expert Staff for Community and Human Resources for South Kalimantan Province, and Gusti Rusdi Effendi AR, Chairman of the ULM Alumni Association, who encouraged the graduates to continue working and uphold the reputation of their alma mater in the professional world.
