ULM Receives Official Permit for Master of Pharmacy Program, Affirms Commitment to Developing Healthcare Human Resources
Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has affirmed its role as a university that adapts to the needs of national development, particularly in the healthcare sector, by officially obtaining permission to open a Master of Pharmacy Study Program.
Permission to operate this program is stipulated in Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 612/B/O/2025, signed by the Director General of Higher Education, Khairul Munadi, on July 28, 2025, and submitted to the ULM Rector the following day.
The ULM Rector submitted the application for the program’s opening through an official mechanism, supported by LLDIKTI Region XI. The decree stated that the Master of Pharmacy study program has met the minimum accreditation requirements and must be implemented in accordance with national higher education standards. ULM is also required to report the results of the program’s implementation periodically every semester.
The ULM academic community responded positively to this good news. The ULM Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Alim Bahri, S.E., M.Sc., expressed his appreciation to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the program’s implementer.
“Congratulations to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences on the approval of the Master’s Program in Pharmacy. Hopefully, this will be a real contribution to ULM in addressing the challenges of the healthcare world,” he said on Wednesday (July 30, 2025).
The opening of this program is considered a strategic step by ULM in strengthening its research and development capacity in pharmaceutical sciences, while simultaneously producing competent human resources to meet the needs of the healthcare sector, especially in Kalimantan and the surrounding areas.
With the Master’s Program in Pharmacy, ULM not only expands its academic scope in the healthcare sector but also contributes directly to improving the quality of services and research that impact the wider community.
