ULM Distributes Entrepreneurship Grants to 25 Student Groups from the 2025 Student Entrepreneurship Program

Banjarmasin – Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again demonstrated its commitment to developing young entrepreneurs through the 2025 Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW). On Thursday, July 10, 2025, in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room of the ULM Banjarmasin Rectorate Building, a contract signing and handover of business assistance were held to 25 student groups receiving PMW grants.

This event is part of ULM’s annual agenda, which aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students, with full support from the university through its own budget allocation. Grants are awarded to two group categories: early-stage groups and growth-stage groups.

In his remarks, Monry Fraick Nicky Gillian Ratumbuysang, M.Pd., stated that the 25 selected groups were selected from business ideas deemed potential for further development. He commended the students for their enthusiasm in finding time to focus on business development amidst their busy academic schedules.

The Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Rusmin Nuryadin, S.E., M.Sc., also provided motivation to all participants.

“I have high hopes for you to become entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurial path offers extraordinary leaps and choices in life,” he said.

He emphasized that although it is a grant, the funds distributed are not just assistance, but must be managed seriously and responsibly.

“Capital isn’t everything, but willingness and teamwork are the keys to success,” he added.

Rusmin also emphasized the importance of business continuity and promotional opportunities for ULM student products through various campus activities. One such event is the ULM entrepreneurial product exhibition as part of the National MTQ (Qualitative Recitation Competition) in October 2025, where PMW students will be given a dedicated space to showcase their products.

The ULM PMW program is funded directly from student tuition fees (UKT) and has become the university’s flagship program, supporting the ULM Rector’s vision of developing entrepreneurial character within the academic environment.
