FGD KUI ULM: Building Global Partnerships at the Study Program Level
Banjarmasin – In order to improve the quality and reach of international cooperation at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), the Office of International Affairs (KUI) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the development of foreign cooperation at the study program level on Monday (26/5/2025). The event, which was held in the senate meeting room on the 3rd floor of the Rectorate Building, presented the Coordinators of the D3/S1 study programs at ULM.
Several discussions related to international cooperation included discussing the presentation of ULM’s foreign cooperation status and the study program’s foreign cooperation questionnaire such as a list of foreign partners, as well as the active/inactive status of partners and contributions to cooperation that has been or is ongoing.
In addition, this FGD is also a strategic step for study programs as a guideline in improving accreditation. This is because the involvement of study programs in international cooperation also has an impact on achieving the accreditation itself.
ULM Vice Rector IV, Dr. Ir Yusuf Azis, M.Sc., in his speech also put great hope in the study program coordinators who were present to be able to contribute in carrying out international cooperation, not only for the implementation of cooperation but also its implementation.
“Of course we hope that every study program that exists can carry out international cooperation up to its actions and not to forget the cooperation report,” he said
The event continued until the afternoon, with discussions related to performance indicators related to international cooperation and its requirements, followed by discussions related to the impact on ULM’s international reputation.
This activity also discussed the potential involvement of study programs at ULM in regional academic consortiums to achieve the target of “one study program one international cooperation”. This activity ended with a discussion session in order to improve overseas cooperation of study programs in the ULM environment and the preparation of recommendations.
