Banjarmasin – Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting inclusive access to higher education by allocating 630 Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) Kuliah quotas for prospective new students for the 2025 academic year. This quota is specifically given to participants who have passed the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway.

Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of ULM, Dr. Muhamad Rusmin Nuryadin, M.Si., said that KIP Kuliah recipients not only receive exemption from health test fees and Single Tuition Fees (UKT), but also assistance with living costs up to the maximum study period.

“For KIP Kuliah recipients, all education costs are covered until graduation according to the level of education, with assistance with living costs for Bachelor and Diploma Four programs for a maximum of eight semesters, Diploma Three for a maximum of six semesters, and Diploma Two for a maximum of four semesters,” he explained on Tuesday (8/4).

Rusmin added that ULM is currently still conducting a further verification process to ensure that prospective program recipients truly come from underprivileged families according to the provisions.

For the 2025 SNBP pathway, ULM accepted 1,896 prospective new students from a total of 14,786 applicants competing in 69 study programs, including the Anthropology Study Program which was just opened this year.

Overall, ULM is opening a total capacity of 7,512 new students for the 2025 academic year, through three selection pathways, namely SNBP, National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), and independent selection.

Through this policy, ULM continues to strive to expand opportunities for the younger generation, especially those with economic limitations, to achieve quality higher education in various scientific fields.
